Viola: Why I characterize English teaching as a profession is because I feel my experiences as a language learner and bilingual person are a great resource for my students. Being a teacher not only enables me to share my experiences in an English speaking world but to transmit the richness of American culture as well. Therefore, my belief about teaching is to help students communicate effectively and gain an appreciation for culture through language learning.
